My friends asked that we
take them to Asa Wright Nature Center.
They wanted to “rain forest” type experience. When we got there, the last tour was leaving
and only had room for four. We sent them
along and went to sit on the veranda and enjoy the hummingbirds that were speeding
past our faces. The guide said that over
17 species have been spotted here, mainly because they imported plants that has
changed the variety of nectar offered and thus invited or attracted the hummers
to the area. Here I captured a White
Necked Jacobin Hummingbird (aka Great Jacobin and Collared Hummingbird).
