Nelumbo Lutea (Also known as American Lotus, Yellow Lotus, Water-chinquapin, volee’ and shower flower) Part 3

Third phase of the Nelumbo Lutea, and in this picture, you can see where the name ‘Shower Flower’ came from.  It shows the inner parts shaped like a shower head, in bokeh background, you can see remnants of the dried version as the stem that has now withered and broken, having the ‘shower like head’ bent downwards.  These flowers are used in wedding cake decorations.
