Moruga, and the last
spring bridge in the country. The bridge
crosses a river and is nested by a fish depot, where the fishermen come up the
river with their spoils from their days catch.
The locals had to champion the cause for the bridge to not be replaced, therefore
a new bridge is being constructed next to it.
This area was once inhabited by the Amerindians and the now current
roads were trails used by the Amerindians of old. The other side of the bridge takes you to a
beautiful beach, with an expansive sand when the tide is low as it was on this
day, a sand on which my daughter drew an anime character that she made up that
I showcased on my facebook page. My
brother and husband took the boys fishing, and we just sat enjoying the biting
insects (not), tranquil sea breeze and God’s beautiful scenery.
My daughter's self created anime character drawn in the sand on the beach in Moruga!
A view of the beach and the fishing rods, lined, baited and waiting to be used.
