The best camera is the one that you have in hand.  Went out today and took this with my iphone as I didn’t have my canon nor my Nikon coolpix with me.  This is the view on the road between Debe and Phillipines/Palmiste.

All processing done via apps on phone (camera + and watermark Lite)

Day 155 – 365 Days of Photography

What a fun day.  I co-manage a women’s football (soccer) team here in Trinidad and I had picked up the uniforms yesterday evening.  I drove them down to the team’s owner/manager as she has to take them to be printed.  I contacted fellow photographer and told him that I would be in the area and he invited me on a photo shoot of a model that he had lined up for the day.  I didn’t get to do many shots as the time was fast approaching for me to go get my kids from school, but I did get some nice candid shots of him.  This is one of them.

p.s.  we had the same idea.  He captured me as well in action!  LOL!

With my camera facing towards her, my daughters asked, “Mom, how do you take a photo with this camera again?” “I touch the shutter release button gently and say pretty cool right”, she smiles and says “hm hmm”, I fully depress.

Every day I see this vendor selling his pies out of this sidewalk stall.  His umbrella folded below the Styrofoam cooler and the promise of pies on his sign.  He is often sitting in the sweltering sun, waiting for the next patron.  Today however, he was nowhere in sight, but his goods were up for purchase, he must’ve gone inside for a quick reprieve, only to miss a passerby of his next purchase.  One day maybe I will give it a try, one day maybe I will stop by.

Day 152 – 365 Days of Photography

So I didn’t take a picture today, but instead whilst looking around the 365 site, I saw on one of the latest blog posts this RAWCOMP thing where I get to completely ‘butcher’ someone elses photograph and totally ‘funkyfy’ it.

I thought I’d have a go, since, I am not an ‘ace’ member and don’t have multiple albums, I am just going to use this as a filler here and enter the little competition.  Hehe.

Sunday was an exhausting day though, from cleaning my car, to errands at the wholesale club, to errands at the grocery store, to going back home to cook, to tending to sick kids, my day was done and I was pooped.
