You Old Goat you!   This goat answered to it’s name, came bolting when the owner called out……….DOHGLAH!   I thought it wanted to kiss me, it came straight up to the camera, and since I was down on the ground, the next thing available after the camera would’ve been my face. YUK!  “Ugly Duckling is appropriate for this goat, LOL!”

I picked up some friends visiting from overseas and they wanted to stop to drop something that they brought for a friend of theirs off.  While waiting in the car, I saw this beautiful sunset through the buildings.

Another dear friend is here visiting. I went into Port of Spain to pick him up and I had to do a bit of bobbing and weaving to get around.  Down Wrightson Road, turn by Power Gen, then head down Frederick Street, the a left on Park, up Henry Street, across Gordon, Up Charlotte Street, turn by Memorial Park, around the Savannah, up Lady Young Road.  We stopped at the look out for him to get a few shots of the city.  I decided to zoom into the area that I was bobbing and weaving in a shot.

I am completely knackered. 

This morning I dispersed of all the left-over lunch/dinner to my husband and kids for their lunch today.  As a result I am supposed to cook today.  Instead I spent the day cleaning.  I did my usual living room, dining room, breakfast nook, kitchen sweep, but who told me to go upstairs and enter my daughter’s room.  LHM!

It looked horrid, and she had cleaned it, or so she said.  So now, its lunch time, (well way past it) am famished and tired.  I’ve not taken a photo of the day, but one thing for sure, when there is nothing else available to shoot, this girl can shoot some food.

So what’s for lunch?  On a bed of some sort of hybrid lettuce, cut up juicy red tomatoes, some green olives, a little onion, grated (by muah) cheddar cheese, a boiled egg and one of my favorite dressings, Vidalia onion.  Hmmmm………not to shoddy after all.  No tossing except in the belly.

Now if the urge to sleep can stay away long enough for me to schlep my kids from school.

A game of cricket

A bat and ball game played between two teams of 11 players each on a field at the center of which is a rectangular 22 yard long pitch.  Each team takes its turn to bat, attempting to score as many runs as possible while the other team fields.  Each batting turn in known as an innings.  The bowler delivers the ball to the batsman who attempts to hit the ball with his bat away from the fielders so he can run to the other end of the pitch.  At each end of the pitch there is a wicket which if is hit by the ball while the batsman is batting, sends the batsman out.  In front of each wicket there is a crease which is a line behind which the batsman must stay.  If while attempting to make a run the ball is sent by a fielder and hits the wicket before the batsman returns to his crease, he/she is considered out.  If the batsman hits the ball up in the air and a fielder catches the ball before it hits the ground, he/she is considered out.  Each player takes a turn batting, until ten of the players are out before the other team gets their turn to bat.  The bowler bowls six balls in an over, before it is switched to a different bowler.  Some games are restricted by overs and therefore if the overs are finished before all the players bat, the other team gets their turn to bat and must make more runs that the previous batting side in order to win.

Cricket is one of the sports that Trinidad is known for.  With the West Indies Cricket team being home to many famous Trinidadian players.  All over the Savannah, I saw games of cricket going on.  Here is a shot where the wicket keeper’s eyes appear to be closed, as his hands are out for the catch, but the ball is below knee level.  HEheHE!
